About the Recipe
Adding ginger to warm lemon water can be a great option for people with acid reflux, as ginger is known for its anti-inflammatory properties and its ability to soothe the digestive system. Ginger can help reduce nausea, aid digestion, and potentially reduce symptoms of acid reflux.

Ingredients
1/2 lemon (freshly squeezed)
1 small piece of fresh ginger (about 1 inch), peeled and thinly sliced, or 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1 cup warm water (not hot)
1 teaspoon honey (optional, for added soothing and sweetness)
Preparation
Prepare the Ginger: If using fresh ginger, peel a small piece and slice it thinly. If using ground ginger, measure about 1/2 teaspoon.
Warm the Water: Heat your water to a warm, not hot, temperature.
Add Ginger: Place the sliced ginger (or ground ginger) into the warm water and let it steep for a few minutes. If you’re using fresh ginger, you can strain it out before drinking if you prefer.
Add Lemon: Squeeze the juice of half a lemon into the ginger water.
Sweeten (Optional): If desired, stir in a teaspoon of honey to help soothe the throat.
Stir and Drink: Mix everything together and sip the warm lemon-ginger water slowly.
